Delta is an interactive, modular lighting concept that enables users to adjust the amount of illumination in a particular space. The design consists of a series of blocks that can be stacked on top of each other to form a light source as shown in the video below.
Each module becomes part of a parallel circuit when they interlock with each other. Not only do the audio jacks complete the circuit and illuminate the module they are part of, they also serve as a structural connection between
two modules and create a strong joint that prevents the tower from falling over.
Delta was inspired by the humble adapter plug that resides in everyones homes and is aimed at being a light source that promotes human interaction with everyday products. The excitement and anticipation felt while seeing each module "magically" light up, initiates an emotional connection with the product as well.
